Birthdays, hen dos or team afternoons — book the studio, bring your people and we'll handle the clay and the coffee.

Open studio membership

Why Kettle & Kiln

A studio that actually fires what you make

We're a working café and pottery studio in the heart of Totnes — serious espresso from Extract Roastery up front, six wheels and two kilns out back. Nothing about this is a one-off novelty: we bisque and glaze fire properly, on a regular schedule, so the mug you throw really does come back ready to use.

Our makers have years on the wheel between them and small class sizes mean real attention. Come for the coffee, stay for the clay.
